IHSN’s Random Selection Services
IHSN’s sophisticated computerized random selection service is designed to simplify the management and employee list maintenance duties of your random selection program. To help you keep you employee list up to date, each quarter IHSN sends you a reminder to submit changes to your employee list. Our easy to complete update forms or electronic submission procedures make updating your employee list quick and painless! 

Our random computer system automatically calculates the number of random selections required for the quarter and then selects the appropriate number of employees for random drug and/or alcohol testing. We also automatically select a percentage of alternates in addition to the primary selections. These alternates are provided for your convenience to be used in cases when the original employees selected are not available for testing due to termination, medical leave, etc. 

Random Selection Service Clients also receive the following additional random selection service and reporting benefits. 

• Clients, who meet a minimum annual volume requirement, have the option of having selections completed monthly rather than quarterly.

• Non-DOT employers can choose their random selection percentage for the year or request a set number of selections be drawn each period.
